What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard and understood. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, meaning we work together to identify your goals and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. My style is both compassionate and direct—I will gently challenge patterns that may be holding you back while also providing tools and coping strategies you can use in your daily life. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, trauma-informed care, and EMDR when appropriate. In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on getting to know your story, understanding what’s bringing you in, and building a strong foundation of trust. From there, we’ll work at your pace to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is collaborative, structured, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. In the first session, we focus on getting to know your story—what’s bringing you in, your goals for therapy, and any relevant background. This helps us build a strong foundation and create a treatment plan that feels aligned with what you want to work on. In ongoing sessions, we typically begin with a brief check-in on how you’ve been feeling and any updates since our last meeting. From there, we focus on current challenges, patterns, or specific goals, while also exploring deeper themes when relevant. I incorporate practical tools and strategies—such as coping skills, communication techniques, and cognitive restructuring—so you can apply what you learn outside of sessions. When appropriate, we may also integrate trauma-focused work, including EMDR, to process past experiences in a safe and structured way. Throughout the process, I move at your pace, regularly check in on your progress, and adjust our approach as needed to ensure therapy remains helpful and meaningful for you.
