Who is Patricia? I am a former foster child, who was adopted and did not meet her biological family until 32 years of age. I am a former high school student that was chosen and trained to be in a teenage counseling program called Teenage Acting Communicating Together, T.A.C.T. I am a wife, mom and trauma informed licensed professional counselor…. I understand that life is a journey, and we all have a story. I will meet you where you are, walking alongside to assist with skills to understand your symptoms of depression and anxiety, etc. as well as the origin of these symptoms. I will also help you to improve your communication, strengthen relations and boundary settings. As for my clinical experience, I have been in the mental health field for over 25 years. I graduated from Regent University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) which is helpful for clients managing acute trauma, PTSD and complex trauma. I am also trained in Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, etc. Most importantly, I am a wife and a mother who enjoys spending time with my family who cultivates spirituality. I also love my fur babies, enjoy cooking, vacationing, going to the beach and reading. Lastly, I have a passion for people and enjoy helping them seek and learn their purpose. I look forward to seeing you real soon.
