Patricia Palmer, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NJ
Hi there! I am so glad you are considering me to assist in your journey to wellness. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and the founder of Serenity Family Counseling Inc. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick. I take a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to treating adolescents, young adults, and families. My goal is to connect and make mental health services accessible, particularly for children and families of color. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with me? Clients can expect a relatively thorough review of their history and the reason for seeking treatment at this point in time. I like to spend a good amount of time making sure that the client understands the agreement and expectations for the therapy relationship. Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths. I have made it my business to lead with compassion and empathy in my practice. I have seen clients from an array of different backgrounds and have been able to connect despite our differences. I hope that anyone I work with will be open and honest, as we all have a past, and we can use it to either keep us from moving forward or propel us ahead; the choice is ours.
