Getting to know Paul Stubbs

Hi there, I'm Paul. I've struggled with trauma, addiction, and the worst parts of myself, and decided to learn how to help people going through the same. You are the expert in you, and I will listen first, help frame the problem we are solving, and then help you find your better path. I am direct, but not a jerk about it, and there isn't anything you can tell me that will push me away. As a combat veteran (Iraq '04, '08, '09 and Afghanistan '09, '10), I get trauma firsthand. I've worked mostly with addiction and trauma, but my clients have had widely varied dual diagnoses. I've been on the planet half-a-century and have been all over the nation and the world, so I have that perspective. I hold an MSW and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach is straightforward and no-nonsense, but I'm long over putting all the pain in a box and pretending it isn't there. I'm well suited for clients who do not want some softie telling them about sharing their feelings. If you are reading this, you want something to be different.
