“Highly recommend! It’s hard finding a good therapist, and even harder to find one who will take the time to build trust and truly understand my perspective. Whether through building coping skills, somatic exercises, creating an action plan, or processing a stressful situation, Paula helps me feel more prepared to navigate life as I also process past traumas. She listens, and makes space for all of my feelings and experiences. I appreciate her empathy and support.”

Getting to know Paula Flidermauz

Many of my clients have come to me seeking safety with a provider after not having success with traditional talk-therapy in the past. I want to empower clients to advocate for their needs, confront their fears, and overcome obstacles to achieving their goals. I have worked extensively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, seeking support for a variety of concerns including relationship issues, and life transitions, to crisis prevention/intervention.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My specialization is in trauma recovery (including generational trauma), Childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, rejection and abandonment wounds, nervous system dysregulation, and self-worth issues, as well as ADHD. I utilize integrative approaches tailored to each client's individual needs. It is my priority to facilitate a safe, validating, and affirming environment, while equipping clients with the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges and address painful feelings like guilt and shame. I help individuals move beyond surface-level symptom relief and access true psychological and emotional transformation. At the core of my work is helping people bridge the unconscious and conscious self, reconnect with their body, and develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that drive their life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am a neurodivergent-affirming therapist who celebrates my clients' neurocognitive differences. I help clients foster the confidence to work with those differences and improve their quality of life, rather than struggling to fit in or meet unrealistic expectations placed by others and society.
