I'm Petra Wright, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor based in Colorado, with nearly 15 years of experience in the field. Additionally, I have been a certified and trained couples’ therapist for 5+ years, specializing in Gottman and Relational Life Therapy modalities. I have openings for couples and individuals in offices in Colorado Springs or via telehealth in Colorado. My focus is on couples and individuals, including military trauma, sexual, religious, childhood trauma and others. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including veterans, active-duty members, and their families, as well as adults from ages 18 to 99 years old. Furthermore, I focus on women with trauma, anxiety, and depression, and substance abuse in the past or presented. I help to empower my clients to become self-sufficient and confident in their daily life by using a holistic counseling approach catering to personal needs to promote the healing process. I believe in a client-centered approach, utilizing trauma and evidence-based methods to facilitate healing through inner self-reflection and other tailored modalities based on each client's unique needs. Together, we can work on overcoming past trauma, facing abandonment issues, and regaining emotional stability.
