UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My early training was in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Lenox Hill Hospital. I studied for three years under Dr. Robert Langs Md., a Psychiatrist who developed the communitive approach to treatment. Later on in practice I aligned myself with a more generally used approach to care, Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Upon leaving graduate school at the State University Of New York at Stony Brook, I taught at the State University of New York at Farmingdale. As an adjunct, I also taught at Old Westbury College and at Tour College. My practice in treating emotional issues began at the East New York Mental Health Clinic an outpatient facility associated with Kings County Hospital.
