Getting to know Rachel Landman

I focus on you, your free will, self-determination, and the search for meaning. As an existential therapist, I embrace the journey of exploring life's deepest questions with my clients. My approach centers on understanding personal choices, freedom, and the inherent challenges of human existence. I guide individuals toward authentic self-discovery and meaningful living, helping them confront anxieties about death, isolation, freedom, and meaning. Together, we strive to create a life that reflects their truest self. I began my career working in school settings, supporting children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental, social, or emotional concerns. Over the years, my practice has expanded to include adults, children, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of psychological and relational issues. This diverse experience enriches my ability to connect with and support my clients through their unique life challenges. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University and earned my Bachelor's degree from CUNY Hunter College Brookdale Campus.

I have had the privilege of working with Rachel for the past year, and have found a keen listening ear, profound understanding and insight, and a completely non-judgmental and safe environment. Rachel is empathetic and wise, and offers simple and clear insights with deep relevancy and knowledge. She communicates clearly her thoughts and understandings, and offers directives and solutions which have been spot-on for me. She is very respectful and trustworthy; calm and friendly. Her office is welcoming, with no distractions in the vicinity. I go to each session feeling excited to learn more about myself, and how to deal with my challenges more effectively. I recommend Rachel without hesitation or reserve.

Rachel is wonderful - she offers an active approach to counseling that is both tailored to my specific inquiries and guides me to new areas of interest/exploration. I come away from each session with new things to try and new mindsets to explore, and have felt much less anxious and more confident in my ability to handle challenges since starting work with her. Can't recommend her highly enough!

Rachel is an exceptional counselor; she has demonstrated time and again how she truly cares for her clients while maintaining a professional demeanor. Her office feels like a safe environment, and I have experienced tremendous personal growth working with Rachel.
We saw Rachel to help our son with "life skills" of ways to manage his emotions and respond to frustrating or unexpected situations. Rachel was extremely helpful for all of us and immediately developed a strong rapport with our son. She helped us with concrete examples, techniques and strategies. I have noticed significant growth in my son and in myself and I am extremely grateful for Rachel's care, assistance and guidance.
Rachel is amazing and really makes me feel like I am not alone in helping my anxiety. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and she is very easy to talk to. I have been seeing Rachel for a few months now and she has already helped me tremendously and decreased my anxiety substantially, more than anyone has before. I couldn't imagine a time without Rachel! Highly recommend!
I have been seeing Rachel for around five months. From the first day, she was friendly, professional, with a warm and comforting demeanor. Her office space is clean and well-decorated. She is well-trained, personable, and dedicated. Ultimately, Rachel is an exceptional provider and one of the most understanding and motivating people I have had the good fortune to work with. 10/10; would recommend.
If you want a therapist with an excellent bedside manner and one who is incredibly personable, I would highly recommend Rachel. She is an excellent therapist who listens with an unbiased demeanor, as well as an understanding perspective. We practiced working with different exercises to alleviate and come into terms with my anxiety. She's also not afraid to ask tough questions when need be. Within three sessions, she already knew all about me and remembered every minute detail I told her. I feel like I've come a long way since working with her and I don't see myself from stopping from seeing Rachel on a weekly basis!
Rachel is extremely focused and organised. She comes up with a plan and problem solves, with compassion and firmness. I gained extraordinary results in communicating with my ex!
Rachel Becker is an outstanding therapist. Her nonjudgmental practice has allowed me to express my issues on existential depression, identity, and deciding if I should pursue a college degree. The extent to which she has helped me is significant, providing thoughtful feedback to reflect on, coping with anxiety, and using appropriate media to aid with my problems. Rachel has been my first and only therapist that I am very fortunate and thankful to have her support.
