Hello, I'm Rachel. Humans are complex, and that's why it's important to address the many moving parts that make you whole. Major life transitions, work or home stress, physical illness, and family dynamics all play a role in our mental health and overall well-being. These challenges can be tough to navigate on your own, and it is my honor to accompany you on your mental health journey. I focus on adults, using the Unified Protocol, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I believe if you're going to spend time in therapy, we need to define what 'success' would look like in this setting. We will work together to identify ways to measure progress. We will identify behavioral changes that can enact great change in your life and reflect on what is helping us progress towards your treatment goals. My approach to care is strength-based and holistic: I believe that you are the expert on your stories and that mental health is undeniably connected to physical well-being. We will explore your strengths and empower you to use those positive qualities to improve your overall health. I vow to work towards developing a trusting relationship where you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly insurmountable barriers you feel in your life. In 2017, I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Social Work. Now I work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have seven years of experience working in mental health therapy. I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety and panic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, depressive disorders, ADD/ADHD, and co-occurring mental and physical health challenges. Let's schedule a free consultation call to chat and make sure we are a good fit. The best way to reach me is through the secure SonderMind portal.
