I’m interested in the ways we come to understand ourselves through the different worlds we inhabit. Sometimes these parts of our lives fit comfortably together; at other times, they can pull us in different directions. I work especially with immigrants, LGBTQIA+ people, and BIPOC individuals navigating questions of identity, belonging, intimacy, family, relationships, and change. I’m particularly interested in how language, migration, sexuality, spirituality, and culture shape not only what we experience, but how we understand and speak about those experiences. I offer therapy in English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and German, and I’m attentive to the ways language itself can shape what feels possible to express or understand in therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and psychodynamically oriented. Together, we can slow things down, notice recurring patterns, and become curious about the relationships, histories, and meanings that continue to shape your present.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I don’t see therapy as a process of finding the “right” answer or deciding what your experience must mean. I’m more interested in what becomes visible when we slow things down and stay with what feels difficult, contradictory, or unfinished. You can expect me to be curious, collaborative, and attentive to your individual experience. We may notice what you’re feeling in your body, explore patterns in your relationships, or spend time with experiences that have been difficult to put into words. I see therapy as a space where we can think and feel together, ask better questions, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are an opportunity for me to get to know you, what brings you to therapy, and the experiences and relationships that have shaped you. There isn’t one predetermined path our work has to follow. We’ll pay attention together to what feels most important and move at a pace that allows for curiosity rather than rushing toward an answer. As our work develops, we may begin to notice recurring emotional or relational patterns, explore how past experiences continue to show up in the present, and pay attention to what you experience in your body or find difficult to put into words. My hope is that therapy gives you more room to understand yourself, make choices with greater freedom, and live in a way that feels more fully your own.
