Rebecca Loesberg, LCSW

Psychotherapist
VA
I specialize in helping women in their 20’s and 30’s work through anxiety, ADHD, people-pleasing, perfectionism and burnout. Do you feel burned out and exhausted by "going through the motions" of everyday life? Are often overwhelmed, stressed, and feeling like there must be a way to make it all easier? I know how it feels to be stuck in a cycle of behaviors that seem too hard to change. It can also be so hard when everyoned else's priorities seem to cloud what you actually want. Together, we will discover and honor your emotions, figure out what matters most to you, and head in that direction. I use an individualized, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach in my work, utilizing different modalities such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment work like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindful self-compassion techniques, and a tad bit of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am also a bit of a brain and nervous system nerd. Good news-I'm currently accepting new clients! The first step of reaching out to a therapist can be overwhelming. You're already there by searching for the right person for you. I'd love to talk through how we could best work together..

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm approachable, warm, and conversational. I'm happy to reflect and validate to make you feel heard. I also love to get into the mix a little bit and talk through issues more directly. My goal is to make you feel safe, supported, and like you have clear skills to handle all the things you came into therapy to work on. Our sessions will occur via telehealth through a secure platform called Simple Practice and last about 50 minutes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before we decide to work together, we will have a 10-15 minute initial consultation via phone. If you decide you want to move forward with sessions, we will set up an appointment. In our intake appointment, we will talk through why you're coming to therapy and what you'd like to work on. We will develop a plan together to work on your goals. From there, sessions will focus on strategies and processing through your stressors. We can schedule sessions weekly, every other week, or however frequently you'd like.
