Psychotherapist

Are you seeking to heal your grief and pain and become more whole? I support clients in strengthening their capacity to love themselves, increase their mindfulness, and expand their perception. Sometimes I help clients gain awareness of self-defeating patterns so they can get unstuck or explore trauma and loss with a tender ear. Many gifts exist amidst our core sensitivities. I aim to help people find their creative power, their connection to their soul or deepest self, and what they care about most. I received my M.S. in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 1997. Since then, I kept exploring new approaches to share with my clients including body-centered modalities like Hakomi, nature-based models like Bill Plotkin's Map of the Psyche, and trauma-informed perspectives like NARM. I am an RYT-500 Yoga Teacher and bring mindfulness techniques to relax the nervous system and help people find their center. I am the author of "Wild Yoga: A Practice of Initiation, Veneration, & Advocacy for the Earth" and the creator of a practice called Wild Yoga. I have led Wild Yoga retreats and have worked as a nature-based soul guide with Animas Valley Institute since 2007. In each session, I begin by asking clients what they want most from our time together. Like Carl Jung, I often work with the unconscious, by tracking what is arising in each person's body, heart, and imagination, so a person's strengths and who they are at the core can be made conscious. I often engage in dream work. I am excited to meet you where you at and support you on your journey!
