Hello, I'm Rhonda. As a veteran of the United States Army, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, having served eight years before pursuing my educational goals. I graduated in 2006 with a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, with an emphasis on school counseling and human services. My journey has given me the privilege of working with diverse populations, including veterans, law enforcement, rural and urban community mental health, educational settings, hospitals, and crisis counseling. I am deeply committed to helping clients from all walks of life and depths of despair thrive in their environment. I believe that with encouragement and space to process past and current life traumas, each client has the ability to work towards finding their authentic self. This authentic self can look very different from the dominant culture norms, and my goal is to help each client break through these barriers and learn to love all parts of themselves. I assist clients with issues caused by typical life stressors, including emotional distress, grief and loss, relationship problems, trauma, and the transition from military life to civilian life. Additionally, I focus on wellness, career development, and client empowerment. My proactive approach to therapy includes techniques such as EMDR, CBT, IFS, and SFT to help clients meet their mental health goals. Working with me means you will have a supportive and understanding ally in your journey towards mental wellness. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or navigating a life transition, I'm here to help you find the strength and resilience within yourself. If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and self-discovery, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
