Ricky Coston Jr. is a Resident in Counseling and a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors, the American School Counselor Association, and the Virginia School Counselor Association. He has several years of experience working with adolescents and families, primarily in school settings. In 2012, Ricky earned his B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Philosophy from The College of William and Mary. He continued his education at William & Mary, earning an M.Ed. in School Counseling in 2014. Ricky relies heavily on Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to his counseling work, Ricky has been a Baptist Deacon for over 10 years, with experience preaching sermons and teaching Sunday School lessons for both adults and youth. Outside of his professional and spiritual commitments, Ricky enjoys going to the gym, doing escape rooms, and spending time with family and friends. He has practiced martial arts for over 15 years and has taught martial arts for more than 5 years. Ricky is also the self-published author of the book *Making the Grade*. He believes that we are all a work in progress and that setting goals and finding new ways to improve ourselves is essential. Ricky is currently accepting VA clients only.
