Have you picked up a few useful tips & tricks to manage your mental health symptoms, but no real strong headway? So happy you are here! As a counselor for more than 15 years in the state of Washington, I want to work with you to find what works, how it works in your life, and how to make it a part of your day to day routine. My approach is adapted to working with adults struggling with trauma. I am currently in a CPT-Cognitive Processing Therapy Consult Group to fine tune and make strides in serious work with trauma, with this evidence based technique modification of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, adapted for work with trauma. The CPT technique is being found successful, time and time again, and has a duration of only 8-12 weeks. So, if you are wanting to seriously work on your trauma, I hope you will contact me. The therapy is designed for a duration of 8-12 weeks only, so no continuing in therapy for months and months, with minimal progress. CPT therapy is specifically designed to make you skilled and confident to continue work on your own. If this appeals to you, I do so hope to hear from you in the near future for you to ask questions, learn more, and then hopefully, to embark upon your own journey of recovery. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from the Nelson A Rockefellar College of the State University of New York at Albany. I have two Bachelor's - one in English from Rhode Island College, and one in Information Technology from DeVry University, fully on-site in Fremont California, along with A+ and Network+ certifications. This second Bachelor's really encouraged me to value attention to detail in most everything, and surprisingly, the skills benefit me to this day. I really enjoy looking at details and how they play into the bigger picture. This draws a useful parallel as in my current work, most of which is in trauma and related behaviors, such as addiction, and focusing upon what can be changed in the present today.
