Getting to know Robin Mayfield

Hi there! I've been licensed as a social worker since 2018 and I have been working as a therapist for the last four years. I love working with adults who are neurodivergent or struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. I understand how challenging life can be. Often my clients are giving their all, only to still feel like they're falling short or overwhelmed. Together, we can work through these feelings, and find a way to approach life that feels more authentic and manageable to you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm and collaborative. I work with you to help you better understand the patterns of thoughts and behaviors which have kept you in cycles of burnout and overwhelm. We focus on changing things that are within your control, and on accepting the things we cannot change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session together will be focused on getting to know you as a person! We'll focus on your development and growth over the years, and where challenge points have been. In sessions moving forward, the real work begins. We'll go into detail about what's upsetting you, and discuss skills to work on this. This work will take time, but it'll be worth it.
