Roscoe Lachey is an LMHC-LP providing individual counseling and psychotherapy to adults in New York. His therapeutic style aims to achieve an optimal balance between insight development and behavioral change. Roscoe has earned masters degrees in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. He completed his clinical internship at the Institute for Human Identity, the nation’s first and longest-running provider of LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy. His undergraduate background is in the arts and humanities, and he integrates creative expression as modes of healing if appropriate for or desired by the client.

Roscoe is a great listener, very compassionate, and extremely thoughtful with his feedback. He can be very encouraging and understanding, and has a good memory. He’s great at asking questions and getting you to come up with your own answers, but is also willing to help you fill in some of the blanks when needed.
IHI was super helpful in helping me find and book the right therapist, that worked with my insurance and out-of-pocket budget. I'd never tried therapy until recently, but for the last year and a half, Roscoe has been a great resource in helping me navigate challenges in both my intrapersonal relationships and career. Roscoe's calm and welcoming demeanor, has made this experience extremely positive.
