Ryan Grubb, LPC

Psychotherapist
211 W 12th St, Ste 102, Waynesboro, VA
Hi there, I'm Ryan. I am skilled and trained in assisting clients in better understanding themselves on an emotional level and building new pathways of thought along the way. My approach to therapy is grounded in emotionally focused theory, cognitive behavioral theory, and acceptance and commitment theory. I am an avid user of imagination, visualization, and mind-training-based concepts, which I believe can be powerful tools in the therapeutic process. I hold a Master's degree (MA) and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including ADHD, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, multicultural/diversity issues, PTSD, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, and trauma. I understand why life's challenges have weighed you down and made you feel trapped. It must be difficult to have to face this daily. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can express your feelings and work through your struggles. Together, we will explore your emotions and thoughts, and I will help you develop new ways of thinking and coping. If you are open to meeting, I'd love to chat and see if you and I could work together. I appreciate you expressing these feelings to me in such a vulnerable manner. Let's take this journey together and work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
