Psychotherapist
NY
Hi, I'm Ryan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with individual adults navigating life's many complexities. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, identity struggles, LGBTQIA+ related concerns, life transitions, occupational stress, chronic illness, neurodivergence, substance misuse, and the unique challenges that can come with living in an often complicated world. My goal is to create a space where you feel fully accepted, understood, and empowered to work through whatever you're carrying My approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to you. I primarily work through a CBT framework, woven together with existential and narrative perspectives, to help you examine the thoughts and beliefs shaping your experience, find deeper meaning, and rewrite the stories that may be holding you back. Together we'll build practical skills while also exploring the bigger questions. I hold a Master's degree from New York University and bring a genuine commitment to inclusive, client-centered care. I believe everyone deserves a space to be fully themselves. If you're ready to take that next step, I'd love to connect and support you on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want you to know that this is a space where you can show up exactly as you are. There's no need to filter yourself or have it all figured out before we start. I work with adults carrying a wide range of experiences, and I don't believe any struggle is too big or too small to bring to therapy. My style is warm and conversational, and while we'll do real, meaningful work together, I want it to feel like a collaborative partnership rather than something that's happening to you. You are the expert on your own life, and my job is to help you access that.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with an initial session to get to know each other. I'll ask about your background, what's bringing you in, and what you're hoping to get out of our time together. From there we'll establish some goals and I'll begin tailoring my approach to what fits you best. I work primarily through a CBT framework, but I bring in existential and narrative perspectives to help you not just manage symptoms, but also explore meaning, identity, and the broader context of your life. Progress looks different for everyone, so we'll continue to check in along the way and adjust as needed.
