Getting to know Sabrina Rubenstein

I work with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, grief, burnout, and the growing pains that often accompany change. Many of my clients are thoughtful, introspective individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about their next step. Together, we create a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and reconnect with your values, strengths, and sense of self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. Therapy is not about having all the answers—it's about developing the curiosity, insight, and self-compassion needed to move through life's challenges with greater confidence and intention. I am deeply passionate about holistic healing and recognize that emotional well-being is connected to the mind, body, and environment. When it aligns with your goals, I enjoy incorporating creative and experiential approaches such as movement, art, mindfulness, and time in nature to support growth and healing. Whether we're exploring patterns through conversation, processing emotions creatively, or finding ways to reconnect with your body and the world around you, we'll tailor our work to what feels most meaningful and effective for you. My goal is to help you cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, authenticity, and confidence in your own voice so you can build a life that feels aligned with who you are and who you're becoming.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about yourself, you are welcome exactly as you are. My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine partnership, where you feel safe enough to explore both the difficult and meaningful parts of your life. I offer individual therapy through in-person, virtual, and walk-and-talk sessions. Together, we can navigate challenges such as anxiety, life transitions, relationships, identity exploration, grief, burnout, and personal growth while drawing on the healing benefits of reflection, movement, nature, and creativity when they align with your goals. I believe healing can happen both inside and outside the therapy office, and I enjoy helping clients discover practices that support their overall well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every client and every therapeutic relationship is unique, so I tailor my approach to your individual needs, goals, and pace. During our first few sessions, we'll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, discussing your personal history, identifying your strengths, and clarifying your goals. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for the work we'll do together. A typical session is a balance of reflection, exploration, and practical support. We'll check in on what's been happening since we last met, process current challenges or emotions, explore patterns that may be influencing your experiences, and work toward greater insight and self-understanding. Together, we'll identify strategies and tools that feel realistic and meaningful for your life. My style is warm, collaborative, and engaged. I'll ask thoughtful questions, offer observations and reflections, and gently challenge unhelpful patterns while always honoring your autonomy and lived experience. When it aligns with your goals, we may incorporate mindfulness, creative expression, movement, or walk-and-talk therapy to support healing through both mind and body. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace while building lasting skills for growth and resilience.
