Sallie Harper, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
VIRTUAL COLORADO OFFICE ONLY. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience in private practice and other settings, including military bases, prisons, and hospitals. I now work primarily with individuals and couples in my private practice. Most of my clients are working on self-care, boundaries, relationships, personal goals, careers, and next steps. I do not work with high-conflict divorcing/divorced couples, nor do I work with children. I do not work with people with active substance abuse issues, but I am available for folks in aftercare. I am a certified HeartMath Provider. My approach to counseling is eclectic—I use what is appropriate for the client with whom I am working. Most of my work is solution-focused, brief counseling, but I also work with clients over a longer period of time, using depth psychology, family systems theory, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation. I expect clients to take an active role in setting goals and following up on tasks in between appointments, which may include reading or listening to audiobooks. I have had various roles in life that include parent, spouse, community organizer, counselor, and life coach. I have worked with people from all walks of life, including people with disabilities, artists, teachers, people starting out, and people starting over. I would say the common thread running through all these roles has been change agent. I look forward to assisting you with the changes you would like to make in your life. Languages spoken: English.
