“I've been in therapy with Samantha for over a year now, primarily CBT. She creates a comfortable, nonjudgmental atmosphere, is a source of encouragement, and demonstrates empathy. I’m not someone who really enjoys talking about feelings to begin with, but the safety I feel in her sessions keeps me coming back. She equips me with the tools to navigate challenging emotions. Whenever a particular tool doesn’t work for me, she is open to feedback and offers multiple options until something does work. While I still experience setbacks sometimes, overall I've seen significant improvement in how I handle relationships and stress compared to a year ago. I communicate my feelings better, understand my emotions, and feel more comfortable seeking support. She also respects the pace at which you approach topics, and doesn't push you to discuss anything before you're ready. Overall her approach to therapy has aided in my personal growth over the past year and I'm grateful for her support.”

Getting to know Samantha Forman

I work with couples, families, children, teens, and young women to navigate life’s challenges and build stronger relationships. I meet each client with a non biased empathetic approach. My goal is to support you in finding sustainable change. As a Gottman-trained couples therapist, I help partners break unhealthy patterns, rebuild trust, and improve communication. I also provide parent coordination and mediation for co-parents navigating high-conflict or shared custody. With kids and teens, I offer a calm, supportive space to work through big feelings, tough transitions, school stress, or identity struggles. I especially enjoy working with neurodivergent clients, including those navigating ADHD. I focus on understanding how the brain works, celebrating strengths, and building real-life strategies for success. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I show up as a real person in the room—compassionate, curious, and ready to meet you where you are. I'm deeply committed to creating a space where every part of you is welcome. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Additionally, I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Individuality is the core of sustainable physical and mental health. My goal is to empower you with tools and the knowledge of your own mind and body to support your mental and physical health. I believe that each individual and family requires a unique approach - tailored to their specific mind and body. With the right tools and support, even the smallest changes will impact all areas of your life for the better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You are UNIQUE, so I will alter my approach based on your specific needs and goals. Therapy with me will be a collaborative partnership in which you will be empowered with tools to better communicate and function with your partner and family. Every one of my clients has what they need within themselves; I will act as a support for you to tune into your own mind and body. I will help you discover and live as your most authentic self. I help families to create strategies, tools, self care routines, and together ensure that your child is getting their unique needs met. Together we will create aligned goals and develop effective communication.
