Getting to know Samantha Wong

I work with people who feel stuck between who they are and what others expect of them. This often shows up as burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling stuck in a career that no longer fits. As a career changer from the finance sector, I understand firsthand how deeply our work can impact our mental health and overall fulfillment. In our work together, we’ll untangle these patterns and explore where they come from. I also support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and multicultural experiences. This includes exploring how culture, identity, family expectations, and systemic pressures shape your experiences and sense of self. I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what’s not working, make sense of your experiences, and begin to relate to yourself with more clarity and self-compassion.

I believe that building self-compassion and supportive self-talk helps clients pursue meaningful goals with greater resilience. My goal is to empower clients to develop greater insight, move toward meaningful change, and embrace their most authentic selves.

I am glad I found Samantha. I can tell she truly cares and the work we do together feels meaningful and sturdy.
I have been working with Sam for around 2 years now, and it has been a great experience. She creates a safe, supportive environment where I feel comfortable discussing anything that’s on my mind. She listens attentively and provides thoughtful advice and feedback when requested. She also helps me celebrate my small wins when I have difficulty recognizing them myself. Overall, I am incredibly grateful to be working with Sam and would highly recommend her.
Sam has provided me so much support and guidance during a very rough patch of my life. I'm so grateful for her help as she was instrumental in helping me turn my life back around.
Sam has been a wonderful therapist! She is personable, caring, and thoughtful, and has a great memory when it comes to key people or events I have brought up over the sessions. Sam is the first therapist I've ever seen, and made the process feel comfortable very quickly. Over the past year, I feel that I have benefited a lot from seeing her, and have been able to address a number of areas that I was hoping to via therapy and I genuinely look forward to talking to her during our sessions.
I’ve been seeing Sam for a few months short of a year and I’ve had a really good experience. Sam is a very attentive listener, and I feel safe and free of judgement discussing pretty vulnerable topics. With her help, I’ve been able to process a lot of big emotions that used to scare me, and at times when I feel like I haven’t made much progress she reminds me of how far I’ve come. Sam has been so supportive and helpful through everything!
She’s kind, she listens and most important learns about you to build a program or a system to help you get back on track. It’s not easy finding someone to talk to and trust. Sam is great, Highly recommend.
Helpful and friendly bedside manner, thank you
Samantha is so encouraging and understanding. I have great trouble opening up to most people, including loved ones, but I felt right at home with her.
I had my doubts about therapy, but I’m glad I stuck it out until I found someone that was a good match for me. Sam legitimately changed my life. I went from self-loathing to able to accept myself from my past to my flaws to see myself compassionately and cut myself a break when I mess up without thinking I’m an awful person anymore. Her ability to understand me helps me better understand myself and why I feel and act the way I do. This knowledge helps me consciously choose what I want from my life outside of what is expected of me. When someone so wholeheartedly believe in you, it starts to rub on to you and you start believing in yourself. This just makes life so much easier and I thank Sam so much for helping me get to this place.
Sam is a truly thoughtful and caring therapist. She really takes the time to understand my perspective and what I am hoping to get out of therapy. I feel like she really sees and understands me as a person/client and genuinely wants the best for me.
