Getting to know Sarah Butler

I am passionate about working with and supporting people through complex changes and difficult chapters of their lives. I received my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, where I primarily worked with individuals who experienced trauma and mood-related disorders. Prior to graduate school, I worked with children with neuro-developmental disorders, engaging in treatment for social and emotional development. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. My approach is strength-based, grounded in the understanding that you are the utmost expert of your own experience. I work as your ally, empowering you to explore your life's circumstances to bring awareness to your interactions and insight into your patterns. I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques, CBT, and psychodynamic theory in a highly personalized manner to address your specific goals and help you start creating healthy change in your life.
