About Sarah Church

As a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in treating substance use disorders I have developed a positive innovative approach to treatment which uses respectful and flexible techniques that have been proven to be effective in helping patients move forward in their lives. I typically work collaboratively with patients to increase their internal motivation to make positive changes that will result in more fulfilling relationships and lives. I approach treatment with a simple goal. To help my patients create and live healthy and happy lives. I have over 20 years of experience in the addiction treatment field. Before starting Elevate360, I served as the Executive Director of the Division of Substance Abuse at Montefiore Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine for 16 years. I completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in addiction at the Yale University School of Medicine. Internationally, I has provided consultation to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for both Vietnam and Afghanistan as they develop medication assisted treatment centers in their countries.
