Psychotherapist
NY
Do you feel like your thoughts or emotions are getting in the way of living the life you want? Therapy can be a space to begin taking that control back. I am a licensed therapist with experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore past experiences, develop insight, and learn practical skills to manage emotional and psychological challenges as they arise. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. Treatment is individualized, with attention to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I aim to help clients strengthen emotional self-regulation and work through unhelpful thought patterns at a pace that feels right for them. Faith-based interventions can be incorporated into sessions if this is something aligning with your values. If you have a history of religious trauma, this is something we can process together as well.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapy as a collaborative process and believe clients play an active role in their own healing. Sessions are designed to be supportive and respectful, with space to explore current concerns while also building skills that can be applied outside of therapy. I tailor my approach to each individual and focus on helping clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work toward goals that matter to them—whether that involves symptom management, navigating life changes, or personal growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, I encourage clients to come as they are and share what feels most important to them. We’ll spend time discussing current challenges and identifying what you hope to gain from therapy so we can begin forming a plan together. Ongoing sessions may include discussion, reflection, and skill-building. I often suggest activities or exercises to practice between sessions, as continuing the work outside of therapy can support progress and help identify areas that may need further attention.
