“My experience with Sarah has been nothing short of perfection. Having seen her for nearly 2 years now there have been no negatives to speak of. Our time in session is always focused on the areas that I want to cover for the sessions. Sarah does a great job guiding the conversation but she switches gears on a dime if we uncover a new topic that we want tot alk about. I never have to wait and our appointments always start on time. She is willing to reschedule as needed and always offers virtual sessions when one of us is unable to attend in person. ”

Getting to know Sarah Weprin
As a queer Jew who has primarily lived in the South (Texas and Louisiana), I can empathize with the feeling of straying outside of the status quo. I bring a warm and open energy to my sessions and collaborate with my clients to create a treatment plan that is unique to what each individual wants and needs. I am a certified trauma professional and often take a psychodynamic approach to my sessions, calling upon methods such as Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapy when relevant.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans and my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, where I spent time researching and learning about the treatment of eating disorders. Additionally, I hold a certificate from the Albert Ellis Institute. I am a sex- and kink-positive therapist who is excited to be a part of your mental health journey!

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $250 for 50 minutes
Ongoing session: $180-250 for 45 minutes
- Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
- Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

We will work with your insurance to apply any benefits you may have to the cost of your care. We have established relationships with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and UHC. More than half of our patients are able to use insurance to lower the cost of treatment. We are unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Sarah has made such a positive impact on my life. I've seen so much growth in myself since starting my sessions with her. She holds me accountable but always makes me feel like I have an ally when I'm walking through a sticky situation. She's very communicative, compassionate, empathetic, and wise. I've learned a lot from her and have a lot more to learn. She's the best!

I have been seeing Sarah for the last 4yrs and she has been so incredibly helpful and insightful in all areas that I felt I needed support. From small insecurities, general anxiety, life transitions, complex family dynamics, and even the happy days - she's there for it all!
Sarah is very accommodating to her patients' needs and I have never felt as though I can't ask her whatever I need. On the flip side - she is also extremely communicative on her end if she an not make a session. I am always informed in advance and Sarah takes the initiative to let me know when she is free so I don't have to go without therapy.

My experience seeing Sarah Weprin as a therapist for over a year has fully changed my entire view of therapy; I never thought I could feel so comfortable during sessions, let alone actually look forward them. She is extremely easy to talk to, kind, relatable and non-judgmental while still bringing thoughtful answers and ideas to our conversations. Sarah is always punctual/early, and patient with me when I'm late. She also constantly tries to accommodate my schedule, even if it means a very early morning for her. It is clear from the theories, studies and terms she brings up/utilizes that she really has a deep interest and strong training in mental health sciences. I can't say enough good things about having Sarah as my therapist - I wish everyone could have her in their lives!
