Getting to know Savannah Delgado

Savannah Delgado became a therapist by first becoming a question-asker. From a young age, she was the one wondering, “Why do people do what they do?”—especially when those choices caused pain. Rather than absorb the dysfunction around her, she sought to understand it. Her desire to break cycles without breaking people led her to the healing professions, and now, to the clients who need what she once needed herself. Sav’s approach is layered and deeply attuned. As someone raised between Hispanic, Native American, and colonized cultures, with a personal understanding of chronic illness, grief, and family enmeshment, she is especially equipped to support clients who feel like they don’t quite fit into one category—or who have been told they’re “too much.” She knows the ache of invisibility and the power of being seen. She specializes in working with: Individual clients, parents, or families with intergenerational trauma or family system complexity Those navigating grief, chronic illness, or emotional overwhelm, including clients whose struggles may seem invisible on the outside Queer clients reclaiming identity, expression, and safety in the context of cultural complexity People healing from codependency, invisibility, or performative coping Sav is particularly drawn to family systems therapy and somatic healing, where insight lives in the body and transformation begins beneath the surface. She is trained in client-centered and solution-focused therapy, with an emphasis on family systems, grief recovery, and body-based regulation tools. Sessions with her often include metaphor, coping skills, and radical presence. She is paneled with insurance and offers a grounded, soulful space where you don’t have to explain everything to be understood. “I’ll put my hands underneath your hands to help you hold those pieces.” “Being queer… the world sucks. Other queer peopleThey just get that.” “I’m here to help you rebuild what you didn’t break—but are responsible for healing.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients carrying trauma from generational wounds, cultural invisibility, or chronic illness. In our first sessions, we'll explore what's shaped you and begin building tools for healing and clarity. Most clients start to feel more grounded, seen, and self-connected within the first few weeks.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I often use Solution Focus Brief Therapy, Emotion-Focus Family Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, and Fast Skills Approach Training-Behavior to work with life transitions including children, parent-child dyads, and elderly individuals. We'll co-create a treatment plan to fit your individual needs and help you achieve the healing you deserve!
