Getting to know Sean McNamara

Hello, I’m Sean McNamara, MA, LPCC, therapist and owner of Golden Mean, LLC. Whether you’re going through a major life change, relationship difficulties, loss of a loved one, want to feel happier, or change your behavior for the better, I’m here to help you as an individual or as a couple. Come as you are. You are welcome here. The broken-hearted you – the furious you – the depressed, traumatized, confused, anxious, distracted, abused, addicted, and overworked you. Psychedelics are on many people's minds these days, and we can talk about that too. You don’t have to “get ready” to see me or get your “stuff” together first. Coming to my office or meeting with me online can be effortless. I use a variety of techniques such as CBT & DBT, but all you need to know is that I’m ready to start listening to you. I received my master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Regis University in Denver, graduating with honors. My bachelor’s degree is in computer science. At this stage of my life, I’ve experienced enough to be able to empathize with what most of my clients are going through. I’ve had to face many of the same hard choices my clients are facing, and I’m grateful for those lessons. I’m middle aged, married, and have seen a lot of life’s challenges. I’m a meditation teacher and I’ve also been a Realtor as well as a certified massage therapist. Obviously, my passion is helping people. Now I’m here to help you.
