About Shara Labelson

Shara Labelson, DPT is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering, where she earned her degree in Bioengineering with a minor in Psychology. Her academic background provides a strong foundation in understanding movement, biomechanics, and human physiology. While in school, Shara was a competitive soccer player. The physical demands of the sport—and her own experiences with injury—ultimately led her to physical therapy, shaping both her career path and her patient-centered approach to care. Shara brings a unique perspective as both a clinician and athlete. She is a Category 1 road cyclist and a certified USA Cycling coach, giving her advanced insight into performance optimization, injury prevention, and return-to-sport rehabilitation. She continues to stay active in both cycling and soccer, reinforcing her belief in maintaining strong, efficient, and pain-free movement. Her treatment approach integrates traditional physical therapy with functional movement training and Pilates-based techniques. Shara is passionate about helping patients restore efficient, pain-free movement so they can return to the activities they value—whether that’s daily function, fitness, or competitive sport.
