Psychotherapist
NY
I would describe my approach to therapy as collaborative and authentic, aiming to instill hope for a more positive future in a safe and non-judgmental space. I take time to understand not only why you are beginning therapy but also your strengths, which we can utilize together to reach your goals. I approach my work with clients holistically, paying attention to the mind, body, and soul. I believe these elements are integrated and transactional, so I teach relevant skills and explore how we can enhance your life by addressing these areas and bringing balance to your thoughts, behavior, and emotional regulation. As a DBT therapist, I believe the therapeutic process creates a ?real relationship between equals,? and I strive to bring a sense of ?realness? into sessions to be more effective in our work together. My hope is to help you create a ?life worth living? where you can be the best version of yourself and feel confident in your resilience. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and my Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University in 2014. I began my career with a strong emphasis on clinical research focused on improving treatment methods. This passion continues to influence my practice by driving me to use the most updated, evidence-based approaches in sessions. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient programs and private practice in both New York City and Southern California. This broad experience has helped me become a more compassionate and informed therapist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California and New York and currently accepting clients in both states. In my free time, I love to travel and have visited over 30 countries-still with many more on my bucket list!
