Getting to know Sherie Mawusi

UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia with over 20 years of experience. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Norfolk State University and my Bachelor's degree from Canisius University. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, women's issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and OCD. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma and abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with nonjudgmental respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe that everyone should experience the power of what therapy can do in a person's life. Therapy should not be a difficult process; it should be an enjoyable and refreshing experience.
