Hi, and thanks for stopping by! For the past 25 years, I’ve been helping teens and adults navigate life stressors, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, difficulty with relationships, and setting boundaries in all areas of life. As you know, these difficulties can cause difficulty performing even the simplest of tasks; due to either lack of energy or motivation, or feeling so anxious about being in a new situation or fear of failure that you have difficulty making decisions and taking even a small step forward. Are your thoughts working with you or against you? Let’s work together to find the answers. My approach is acceptance, empathetic, non-judgmental, and direct. The reason I’m ‘direct’ is because I’m not going to help you reach your goals or potential by telling you, “Just keep doing what you’re doing.” Instead, I’m going to ask, “What are your thoughts about…?” “Have you thought about….?” A little about me: I earned a Bachelor in Arts from Colorado State University, and I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Denver. My focus was Direct Clinical Practice. I’ve earned certification in Marsha Linehan’s Intensive DBT Skills training course. I also utilize CBT, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe that therapy has to be client centered and not have a cookie cutter approach. I’ve worked in numerous treatment setting’s; Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, Community Mental Health, intensive in-home family therapy, therapist for a teen mom and baby group home, and individual outpatient therapist. The common denominator is I love helping people reach their full potential and their goals by gaining insight and focus on their strengths I know taking the first step in therapy is stressful and difficult. But, please give me a call or schedule an appointment. I’d love to work together to help you achieve your goals. You're not alone.
