Getting to know Sondra Haney

Life has been very stressful lately. I've spoken with hundreds of people recently who are feeling stressed or down. Most people I talk with wait a long time before getting into therapy. Why continue to wait? Do you want to have a better relationship with anxiety? Are you anxious or self-critical thoughts keeping you down? Are you ready to try something new? I use a holistic approach with several research-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, EMDSolution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, and Harm Reduction. I earned a Bachelor's of Social Work from Washburn University. Then I obtained a Master's of Social Work from Chicago State University with a specialization in clinical therapy. I have been practicing Social Work for over 20 years and have worked in several different settings, including community, linkage mental health, emergency room, mobile crisis, perinatal/family case management, employment network, ticket to work services, and private practice. Together, we will develop a comprehensive plan so that you can get the tools you need to help you reach your goals. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and for that I appreciate you.
