Getting to know Sophia Woods

Welcome! I am a music psychotherapist and creative arts therapist with a Master’s in Creative Art Therapy from Molloy University. I have experience working in both inpatient psychiatry and private practice with individual clients. Patients come to me to work through a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Though my work as a therapist is grounded in creative arts modalities, many of my patients come to me for traditional talk therapy. My therapeutic toolbox is broad, and we will work together to find an approach that best suits you. My experience in a variety of clinical settings and my training as a creative arts therapist have made me an adept improviser and problem solver. I show up to each and every session ready to support you in your journey toward overall wellness. We will work together to build a therapeutic relationship conducive to growth, authenticity, and expression. Whether you have been in therapy for years or are just starting out, you are exercising the courage to open up and optimize your mental health. Well done.
