Stacey Adair, LCP

Psychologist
CA
Hi there, I'm Stacey! Hi, my name is Dr. Stacey Adair. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and have been a licensed clinical psychologist for twenty-four years. Together, we will work to help you understand yourself as well as the challenges that have you seeking therapy. My approach is very collaborative. My approach My training includes individual, family systems, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic theories from a multicultural perspective. The approaches I use most often include psycho-education, CBT, bibliotherapy, Rogerian, and writing, to name a few. I am comfortable addressing spirituality (not necessarily religion) as well, if that interests you. It has been helpful for many people. My focus I most commonly work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, post-traumatic stress, addiction, and lifespan developmental challenges. My communication style My communication style includes a great deal of authenticity. I have often been called "a straight shooter," which many appreciate. I like to model hope, confidence, and healthy boundaries with humor. This is the feedback I've received from clients over the years. I believe this creates a safe, empowering, and positive tone in sessions. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began with high school and college psychology classes. I immediately knew I was born to do this work. This passion drove me to continue studying and learning. I am continually humbled by the courageous trust clients place in the therapeutic process, in me, and ultimately in themselves. The experience is energizing. I have the privilege of watching people feel and function better. My goals for you From the initial session, we will work together. I do not set goals for people. I utilize my training, clinical experience, and intuition.
