“Staci is an incredible therapist. She made me feel seen in a way that I haven’t felt with any other therapist. She helped me navigate anxiety that I’ve struggled with for years in my relationships. She taught me how to work through past experiences that have been negatively impacting me in my adult life. It’s been so helpful to have this space outside friends and family for me to explore these issues, and especially with someone as warm and informed as Staci! ”

Getting to know Staci Benaroya

**PLEASE NOTE: All sessions are private pay and your appointment is not confirmed until we speak. As a practice, we DO NOT accept insurance. We provide a superbill for clients with HSA/FSA or out-of-network benefits.** __ Staci's Specializations: anxiety and panic; depression; managing complex family dynamics; relationship concerns, attachment wounds and narcissistic abuse recovery; trauma, childhood trauma, PTSD and Complex PTSD. __ Hi, I'm Staci! I'm a relational & EMDR therapist for highly motivated 20-to-30-something-year-old New Yorkers, and I know that nervous system regulation and secure relationships are keys to living a meaningful life. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. Being a human is so complex, but what if you had a trusted guide to walk with you through this crucial crossroads in your journey and help you discover your truest, most powerful self? Through my personal therapy and work with clients over the last 10 years, I know how transformative it is to face yourself and walk through the darkness alongside an empathic witness. I'm committed to empowering my clients to become their own best healers through co-creating a container for them to settle, reflect, and learn the skills and tools to help them lead lives that feel better on mind-body-spirit-relational levels. I believe deeply in the mind-body connection, that past experiences impact present-day functioning and relational patterns, and that my clients are the experts on their own lives. I look at the whole holistic history of the human in front of me when supporting clients through processing, reprogramming, and creating practices that sustain them across life's challenges. You’ll find me to be fun, warm, welcoming, co-regulating, validating, and reassuring. Connect with me today to see if we might be a good match—I look forward to hearing from you!

Staci is an incredible therapist.
Staci stuck with me and leading me out of one of the hardest times in my life. Words can not express my appreciation for her kindness and compassion-even when I decided to explore a path that wasn’t the obvious choice. I know it’s always going to be a journey, but she has given me the tools I need to navigate what’s ahead as well as knowing I have my power back. I am excited to continue to do the work on my own and I know that Staci will be there when/if I need to check in. I am forever grateful!
Staci is absolutely fantastic. She’s professional, warm and extremely knowledgeable. She takes the time to listen and understand without making the patient feel uncomfortable. It’s clear how passionate she is about her work. I’ve seen her many times now and I couldn’t be happier (and less anxious) since I found Staci. Highly recommend for anyone going through big changes, or just having difficulty navigating daily life.
Don't walk, RUN and check Staci out if you're in NY state and you need a trauma-informed, empathic, integrative therapist. She is INCREDIBLE!
I have been struggling with anxiety for years and didn’t think I could be helped. I didn’t know where to begin. I had an introductory call with Staci and she was so warm and reassuring on the phone. I decided to take a leap of faith to start therapy. Staci and I meet 2x a week and I can honestly say she has changed my life. Staci is so understanding and has provided me with coping techniques to use in anxiety provoking situations. I cant say enough good things.
Before I found Staci, I had been to a few different therapists but no one really clicked. When my anxiety was at an all time high, I knew something needed to change, and a friend referred me to Staci. She got me in for an appointment very soon after I first contacted her, and taught me strategies to cope with my anxiety and improve the quality of my life. During my sessions, I discovered that the roots of my anxiety go deeper than I ever could have imagined, and decided to work with her long term to fix those issues. Through my time with her, my anxiety has improved considerably and I know so much more about myself, my emotional past, and why my brain works the way it does. She is warm, supportive, has never made me feel judged, and is really good at breaking down complicated psychological facts in a way that is easy to understand. Thank you, Staci!!
The loving container Staci provides me with has been invaluable in my growth and healing and I am incredibly grateful for the intention she brings to our work and that our paths crossed.
