Getting to know Stacy Bailey

I find it's best to meet each person where they are in their process. Making the decision to put yourself first and make your mental health one of your top priorities means you have already laid the groundwork for your own personal definition of success. I enjoy using Motivational Interviewing skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Task Focused Therapy, and Systems theory to support my clients. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY, and earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC). I have been working with youth and families for over twenty years. Populations I've worked with include victims of domestic violence, youth and families, as well as adolescents and young adults. I enjoy working with all age groups and genders, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I have worked with individuals presenting with behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Originally from the island of Jamaica, I currently reside in New York. I enjoy any activity that takes place in warm weather-beach days, water parks, and theme parks, the higher the rides the better. I enjoy reading a good book and equally enjoy binge-watching a series. I am passionate about giving individuals a safe space to communicate and display their strengths, which is why I facilitate international youth poetry contests quarterly, as well as virtual women's and girls' support groups.
