Getting to know Dr. Stan Moore

Hello: This is Dr. Stan Moore. I have been a practicing psychologist and psychotherapist for 27 years. I provide a safe, warm, supportive, and healing environment in which you can examine and change the thinking and patterns of behavior that are holding you back from achieving the things you want most from life. I am especially effective in helping clients learn to overcome worry, sadness, emotional trauma and Posttraumatic Stress, and relationship conflict. I also help clients cope with chronic medical illness and chronic pain, head injury, and the process of aging. A little about me: I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington. I have published research articles in both medical and psychology journals and have practiced in hospitals, community mental health clinics, pain management centers, the Veterans Administration, research organizations, university counseling centers, and private practice. I often tell my clients that the healthy person is the one who is able to love, work, and play, and I try to practice those values every day in my own life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is my goal to make sure that every person that I work with leaves our sessions feeling heard, understood, and supported. I want my clients to feel that I am a trusted and concerned advocate and consultant who is committed to helping them achieve their most important goals. To accomplish this end my clients can expect to leave each session with an improved understanding of how the ways they think and behave affects their lives, moods, and relationships. Most important, my clients leave each sessions with practical tools that they can use every day to immediately help them begin changing their lives and achieving their goals.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
