I've been a licensed mental health counselor with over three years of clinical experience. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Humanistic styles. Whether your thoughts are adaptive or maladaptive, they serve a function in your life. Through treatment, I will assist you in understanding those functions, what role they play, and how they are helpful or harmful. I believe problems manifest in how we interact with the people closest to us. Thus, our therapeutic relationship will help you to develop different ways of relating to others, allowing the healing process to begin. I'm well-versed in working with individuals of diverse races, sexual orientations, gender identities, nationalities, and traditionally marginalized communities. The issues and topics we might explore together include race and racism, sexual orientation, sexuality, gender identity, depression, anxiety, stress, compulsive behaviors, substance abuse, grief, suicide, reaching career goals, relationship problems, family problems, phase of life issues, and self-actualization barriers.
