Hi, I’m Stephanie Gomez, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with late teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, life transitions, and first-gen/immigrant experiences. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel supported as you work through challenges, explore areas of growth, and create lasting, meaningful change. My approach is warm, flexible, and client-centered. I take an eclectic approach and meet clients where they are in their journey, drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. I work collaboratively to help you build insight, develop coping tools, and feel more confident navigating both your inner world and daily life. I earned both my BA and MA in General Psychology from Adelphi University and my MS in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Post. I’m passionate about empowering clients to reconnect with themselves and take meaningful steps toward growth and healing. If you're ready to begin or continue your therapy journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you’re met exactly where you are. Stephanie works collaboratively and values your lived experiences, especially around anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, and first-generation or immigrant identity. Her goal is to help you feel safe, understood, and empowered as you work toward meaningful, lasting change at your own pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Stephanie uses a flexible, client-centered, and eclectic approach tailored to your unique needs and goals. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. Together, you’ll focus on building insight, developing practical coping tools, and strengthening confidence in navigating both your inner experiences and everyday life. The process is collaborative, adaptive, and grounded in growth and self-connection. If you’d like, I can also tighten these for a website FAQ, intake form, or directory listing.
