Hello, I'm Steve. My journey into the field of mental health began after my discharge from the United States Coast Guard, when I started working at a residential group home for adolescents. This experience ignited my passion for helping others and motivated me to pursue higher education and seek out mentors who could guide me in this path. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with adolescents in wilderness programs like Vision Quest and Outward Bound. I firmly believe that nature provides a unique and powerful space for individuals to reconnect with their true selves. In fact, during the summer months, I run a remote wilderness camp that supports veterans in their recovery process. For the past twenty years, my primary focus has been on working with adult males, addressing issues related to intimate relationships, pornography concerns, and significant life transitions. My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings openly. I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect, allowing my clients to feel heard and understood.
