Hi. I'm Steve.
Do you ever wonder why, no matter how many different things you've tried, you fall back into old behaviors that hurt you and those you love? Do you wonder why your emotions take over and leave you feeling incapable or overwhelmed? Do your emotions get in the way of effectively communicating when it matters most?
We all face questions like this, and the most fulfilling part of my work is helping people like you find answers. I don't have any “one-size-fits-all” solutions, but together we will identify what drives your responses and what you can do to make lasting changes. We will work to help you anticipate and prevent issues before they appear, feel emotional intensity rising and calm it down, and exit stressful situations before doing or saying something you'll regret.
I don't believe our worst moments define us. I DO believe each of us is capable of overcoming past struggles and finding a new path. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you on this journey. I look forward to working with you as you try to find yours.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Our goal during each session will be to address your most pressing therapy goals and to give you specific tools to use when facing daily challenges. When it is helpful, I will provide worksheets or summaries to help you stay on track with your tools. Perhaps the most important takeaway, however, will be you feeling more hopeful about facing challenges and overcoming them.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
