“This was my first time trying therapy and I have to say the time really flew bye because Steven is such a genuinely nice and understanding person. Since this is my first time I definitely chewed his ear off and gave him a lot to deal with but you wouldn’t know it by his demeanor and patience. Highly recommend”

Getting to know Steven Gordon

Times are tough for all of us, and preserving our mental health is crucial. I have decided to offer an initial session at half the regular cost in the hope that it will make the process simpler for you to try out. The fit is most important to this type of relationship, and I would like to help make the beginning stages less pressured to ease into. My approach is a supportive, interactive one that aims to help people better understand their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Ultimately my goal is to establish a collaborative dialogue that offers a safe place to examine current challenges alongside past formative experiences. I pride myself on being able to hold up the mirror without judgement and offer an alternative viewpoint that can pave the way for people to better look at things differently and productively. Together, we will discuss how to best implement positive changes while comfortably shifting our perspective to accept difficult situations. I strive to incorporate a free-flowing exchange and develop a sense of mutual trust through constructive exploration. I understand the value of sharing personal concerns with someone who may be more objective than frienda and family, and do not take this responsibility lightly. My feeling is that therapists ought to sustain curiosity and openness rather than rely on absolutes that may in fact limit our potential with confining parameters. Life doesn't always offe Life doesn't always offer tidy resolutions, and it is important to figure out how to remain centered when things seem to be the toughest.

Very easy to talk with, made me feel super comfortable and at ease. offers great perspective on complex problems. Cant wait for my next visit.
Steven is compassionate, firm and empowering. His methods encouraged me to find my own solutions to the questions I was looking to answer, but he also held me accountable to myself and to others when I reached for shallow and ingenuine conclusions. I found him to be a tremendously helpful resource during my time in New York and would happily recommend him to anyone seeking a therapist with those qualities.
I've been going to Steven for the past year or so. His approach to talk therapy and letting the session be what you want it to be has helped tremendously with my general anxiety. His ability to help see situations from different perspectives and help zoom out from your initial reaction is an art in itself. It's a tricky balance but he does it with ease. Give him a try! Hopefully, you'll have the same positive experience I have.
I reached out to Steven at a moment in my life when I felt an urgent need to speak to someone. He quickly set up a time to talk and I've been seeing him every week since then. With compassion, understanding and an easy demeanor, Steven's helped me see challenges from different perspectives which has allowed tremendous growth. Our conversations can be light and jovial but they just as often wrestle with seemingly daunting issues made more approachable through the rapport Steven's helped build. His dedication to my mental wellbeing has only inspired me to be equally dedicated it. Also, it's fun when he sends me memes.
Steven is a very professional, friendly and personable therapist and has helped me so much over the last year. He has been very accommodating of my sometimes hectic and challenging work/life schedules and makes his busy schedule work with mine. Not only is he an excellent listener, he is a compassionate, smart and supportive person and offers a different perspective on how to deal with life’s challenges.
Steven is easy to connect to. He doesn’t speculate how you feel but helps you to work through the feeling , allowing the opportunity for discovery. It can feel like talking to a trusted friends. Steven allows you the space to be vulnerable, with no judgement. I’ve grown so much over the course of our sessions and would highly recommend him.
