UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My counseling style is based on the cognitive-behavioral model, focusing on beliefs, internal dialogue, and the ways we perceive our environment and respond to others. I encourage clients to identify the underlying internal dialogue and beliefs that lead to distress, impairment, and unfulfilled goals. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can recognize negative beliefs and develop healthier, more realistic internal dialogue. I have extensive experience addressing gender-specific issues, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. Additionally, I am skilled in helping clients with severe and disruptive behaviors. I hold a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Argosy University and another Master’s in Professional Counseling from Old Dominion University.
