My name is Summer, and I would like to introduce myself and offer my counsel. I graduated from UH Hilo with my Master's in Counseling Psychology, and have worked with all ages of clients from various backgrounds. I especially find meaning working with young adults and have spent several years in schools, family settings, and college counseling. I use a humanistic approach, meaning that I see my client as a positive force of change and respect them as the expert of their own experiences. I balance a warm, steady presence with concrete skill-building and goal-setting. I also specialize in brief sessions for those who are travelling to the islands and seek mental health support and growth. I hope to provide genuine, thoughtful, and meaningful sessions- and always happily welcome feedback from my clients.
