I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming—especially when you’ve been carrying anxiety, overthinking, stress, or difficult experiences for a long time. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and also leave with practical tools that help you feel better outside of session. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, trauma, stress, burnout, life transitions, perfectionism, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients describe feeling stuck in worry, mentally exhausted, emotionally disconnected, or frustrated that they understand their patterns but still cannot seem to change them. My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I integrate therapies including EMDR, CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and neuroscience-informed approaches to help clients understand not only what they are feeling, but why their brain and nervous system may be responding the way they do. In our work together, we focus on creating meaningful change—not just insight. Depending on your goals, therapy may include learning new coping skills, changing long-standing patterns, processing difficult experiences, reducing avoidance, and building confidence in handling emotions and uncertainty. Whether you are looking for short-term support or deeper work, I aim to help you feel more like yourself again and move toward a life that feels calmer, more connected, and more manageable.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you’re starting therapy for the first time—or returning after a difficult experience—you do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. You do not need the “right words,” a complete history, or a clear goal. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening and decide where to begin. My style is warm, active, and collaborative. I tend to balance support with practical strategies and insight. I will ask questions, help identify patterns, and offer tools when helpful, but therapy is never about judgment or pressure. The first session is focused on understanding you—what brings you in, what has already been tried, what is getting in the way, and what you hope life will look like if therapy is successful. Together we create goals that feel realistic and meaningful. Depending on your needs, our work may include learning skills to manage anxiety and stress, reducing overthinking and avoidance, changing long-standing patterns, processing difficult experiences, or building flexibility and confidence in daily life. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, feel understood, and also leave feeling like you are making progress—not just talking about problems.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s goals. Our first session is focused on understanding what brings you in, how your concerns are affecting daily life, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. We’ll discuss your history, identify patterns, and begin creating goals for therapy together. After the initial session, appointments are typically focused on helping you make meaningful progress—not just talking about problems. Depending on your needs, sessions may include learning tools to manage anxiety and stress, reducing overthinking and avoidance, changing unhelpful patterns, processing difficult experiences, and building confidence in handling emotions and uncertainty. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, EMDR, ERP for OCD, ACT, and neuroscience-informed interventions when appropriate. Some sessions are more skills-focused and practical, while others may involve deeper exploration and processing. My goal is for therapy to feel supportive, comfortable, and productive so you leave with both insight and strategies you can use in everyday life.
