Susan Wich, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Sue. I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado since completing my two-year post-graduate supervision in 1988. My professional journey has provided me with a rich background in family therapy, child welfare, and restorative justice. I've also gained extensive experience in guiding individuals toward enhanced resilience, especially in the aftermath of trauma. I am deeply fascinated by neuroscience, habit acquisition, and the integration of various therapeutic approaches. Leading a life of balance, interconnection, and sacred relationship with others, while optimal, is never constant. On planet Earth, we are exposed - even immersed - in the full spectrum of joys and sorrows, pleasure and pain, loss and gain, praise and blame, and status and shame. Every single one of us experiences these conditions, and most of us can remember times when they have thrown us off our surfboard. The better we can learn to ride the waves, the less disorienting and distressing adversity will be. Because of these constant paradoxes, it is helpful to calibrate our sense of wholesome perspective, thoughts, and actions with our presence, focus, and effort. Psychotherapy is one way of aligning intentions with fortified skills and resources, and enhanced agility. With a foundation in Eastern philosophy, Western mysticism, yoga, meditation, and a cognitive-behavioral orientation to holistic health, I see myself not as a healer, but a facilitator for the development of curiosity, growth, resilience, wisdom, emotional regulation, compassion for self and others, and enhanced radiance. It would be my privilege to walk with you on this journey of unveiling your light. Let's work together to navigate life's waves and find your balance.
