Sydnee Collins, LPC

Psychotherapist
DC
Hi there, I'm Sydnee! I am a LPC who works with people navigating transitions, change, and the kinds of everyday stress that can start to feel overwhelming. I enjoy working with clients who want space to sort things out, understand themselves more deeply, and start moving forward in a grounded, practical way. My focus My work focuses on supporting individuals navigating general life stress, performance pressure, identity shifts, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach My approach is collaborative and integrative, focused on understanding how you think about and experience the world and the patterns shaping your current struggles. I’m direct, engaged, and supportive, and we work together to build practical, realistic strategies that fit your life and goals. My communication style My communication style is direct, collaborative, and grounded. I aim to be clear and honest while staying compassionate and supportive, and I’ll often ask thoughtful questions to help you reflect and make connections. I also keep things practical and down-to-earth, so sessions feel real, focused, and usable outside of sessions. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to becoming a therapist through my experience as a collegiate athlete and seeing how performance pressure, transitions, and stress impact wellbeing. I also noticed how many people in high-demand environments don’t always seek support. I wanted to create a space where people feel understood and supported in a practical, stigma-free way. My goals for you I help clients clarify what they want to change, understand the patterns getting in the way, and build on their existing strengths. Together, we set collaborative, practical goals that fit real life, adjusting as we go based on what’s actually helping you move forward. Our first session In our first session, we’ll focus on what brings you to therapy and begin clarifying your goals so that we can ensure you’re getting the support you’re looking for.
