Helping clients be the mother they’ve envisioned themselves to be and remain aligned with their own identity during this transformative time. Sylvia has worked in various settings over her career from treatment foster care, to residential treatment facilities and community mental health. Sylvia has also worked with Veterans at the Veterans Administration and has continued to provide telehealth services since 2018. Sylvia is passionate about teaching her clients and having the tools to manage daily needs, stress and understand how stress and trauma change the brain and how to move towards healing and optimal functioning after a difficult or traumatic event. Sylvia strives to create and maintain a supportive and compassionate environment while encouraging growth through self-understanding and self-awareness through narratives that have been created and shaping new narratives for a healthier and happier future. Outside of work Sylvia enjoys spending time with family and raising her young daughter. Having access to Lake Michigan, many days are spent at the beach or climbing the sand dunes. Sylvia enjoys traveling as she herself spent her teenage years in Europe and has lived and worked in six States in the United States. Sylvia enjoys listening to audiobooks on different topics such as holistic health, youngevity, spirituality, motherhood, creating a home environment that assists in the healing process and infusing all of this with a good dose of humor. A new hobby she has recently picked up is diamond painting.
